Authorization request
You can request the authorization received at the time of handover through the methods below, or replace it if it’s lost.
If your colleague responsible for the corporate fleet has registered on the MOL Mycarius customer portal, they can download the authorization under the Cars/Car Users menu (Hungarian guide). Please note that our customer portal is currently available only in Hungarian.
If the Customer Portal is not accessible to you, feel free to contact us via email at ugyfelszolgalat@molmercarius.hu regarding the authorization. For faster processing, you can also reach out through the Contact form, where you will find the Authorization option under the “Other” section.
If you are handling certain procedures related to your vehicle – such as requesting a gray license plate, transferring the highway sticker, or scheduling a technical inspection – you will need a power of attorney authorizing you from the vehicle owner, MOL Mercarius Fleet Solution.
Our team is happy to assist you in preparing the authorization. Please contact us at ugyfelszolgalat@molmercarius.hu. For faster processing, you can also use the Contact form and select the Authorization option under the “Other” section.
Odometer reading reporting
All our customers are contractually obliged to report their monthly odometer readings to us. Currently, this can be done in two ways.
Reporting the odometer reading is faster and more efficient through the MOL Mycarius customer portal. Please note before registering that our customer portal is currently available only in Hungarian. If you need assistance with the registration process, we suggest referring to our detailed Hungarian guide.
REPORT
WITH MYCARIUS PROFILE
You can quickly and easily report your vehicle's current odometer reading through our customer portal. If you need assistance with the process, you can find detailed instructions in our Hungarian guide outlining the exact steps for reporting. Please note that our customer portal is currently available only in Hungarian.
REPORT
WITHOUT MYCARIUS LOGIN
You can report your current odometer reading not only through the customer portal but also without a profile. To do this, use our Contact form, where you will find the Odometer Reading Report option under the “Other” section. Alternatively, you can send the odometer reading via email to our colleagues at the following email address.
Why is it important for us to know your current odometer reading?
The timing of your next scheduled service mainly depends on how much you drive your vehicle. If you’re approaching the required service interval, our colleagues will anticipate that you will need an appointment soon. Adhering to the scheduled service intervals is crucial for maintaining your warranty. Missing the deadline may result in a loss of warranty, and the financial consequences of this will be borne by the customer according to the contract.
Vehicle document replacement and requests
LOST VEHICLE REGISTRATION DOCUMENT
If you have lost your registration document, please notify us in writing via email.
The fee for processing a replacement is 12,500 HUF + VAT. Your employer may pass this cost onto you, but we will bill directly to our contracted customer.
APPLYING FOR REPLACING GREEN CARD
The International Insurance Certificate (commonly known as the green card) is a black-and-white A4 document that certifies the extension of your Hungarian compulsory vehicle liability insurance to abroad. You will receive this document from our MOL Mercarius staff when you pick up your vehicle.
If you need to replace it, you can request a new copy directly via email. For faster processing, you can also contact us through the Contact form, where you will find the Green Card option under the “Other” section. Additionally, if you have access to the MOL Mycarius Customer portal you can download the document yourself under the Car/Insurance menu. Please note that our customer portal is currently available only in Hungarian. (Hungarian guide)
APPLYING FOR A GRAY LICENSE PLATE
You will need a gray license plate if you want to use a bicycle rack mounted on your tow hitch. After applying, you will receive one of these special plates, which will also be indicated in your registration document.
There are two ways to arrange the gray license plate:
1.) You handle the process yourself, but you will need a special power of attorney from our Fleet Admin team. You can contact our colleagues through the Contact form under the “Other” section, where you will find the Authorization option, or you can email us directly. You must keep this document and bring it with you to the authorities for the procedure.
2.) MOL Mercarius staff will manage the paperwork at the document office on your behalf, for a fee of 12,000 HUF + VAT. Reach out to our team via the Contact form, again under the “Other” section, or send us an email directly.
PARKING PERMIT
Applying for a residential parking permit requires gathering various documents according to the specific regulations of your local municipality. The process varies from town to town and district to district, so we kindly ask you to check your municipality’s website or contact them directly for detailed information. Generally, an individual can receive a parking permit for up to one vehicle, and at most two vehicles per address.
For company cars, a different type of permit may be required.
As the vehicle owner, and through MOL Mercarius Fleet Solution, you will also need a certificate confirming that we provide exclusive use of the vehicle. Please specify your exact needs by filling out the Contact form, where you will find the Parking Permit option under the “Other” section, or contact us directly via email címen. Our colleagues are happy to assist you!
If you are unsure which parking zone your address belongs to, please consult with the relevant local authority beforehand.

Whenever you travel outside the European Union, you must take your Green Card with you. You can find further important information about traveling outside the EU under the Traveling abroad menu.

What should I do if my MOL/OMV fuel card is approaching its expiration date?
Expiring fuel cards are not automatically renewed in all cases. Unfortunately, the process varies across different fuel companies, but MOL and OMV handle it in the same way.
If there has been a transaction with the active card within 6 months before the expiration date, the cards are automatically renewed prior to their validity ending.
If the card has not been used, it will not be renewed automatically.
If you still need the card, please kindly notify us of this request by emailing ugyfelszolgalat@molmercarius.hu.
What should I do if my SHELL fuel card is approaching its expiration date?
Expiring fuel cards are not automatically renewed in all cases. Unfortunately, the process varies among different fuel companies: MOL and OMV handle it in the same way, but Shell differs from them.
120 days before the expiration date of the active card, the system creates a new replacement card. At this moment, the system checks whether there has been a transaction on the previous card within the 90 days prior to this. If the card has not been used, it will not be renewed automatically.
If you still need the card, please kindly notify us of this request by emailing ugyfelszolgalat@molmercarius.hu.
